Q: Who can register as artists?
Presently we accept artists living in Sri Lanka only


Q: How can I register with you?
Simply log into www.ceylonartists.com and give a few of your personal information and register with us. After the registration is done, you will have your own profile page where you can upload you photograph also.


Q: How do I submit art works?
You can upload your art work through your artists profile page using a quality JPEG. The image must be in focus, true to the colour of the art and at least 770 pixels in wide.


Q: How do I price my art work?
You have to price your art work in USD (American Dollars)


Q: What is your commission?
When you add your price for art work, our system automatically add our commission (20%), delivery and insurance charge.


Q: Can I edit my price?
Yes, log into you profile page and edit your prices.


Q: Do my art works display in you website as soon as I submit?
No, to ensure the quality of our website, your art works are displayed only after our panel consisting professional artists give the approval. If the image you uploaded is not in good quality, you will be informed to upload a quality one.


Q: How do I know when my art work is sold?
Once your art work is sold, you will be notified by an email and telephone call or sms with the order number and your art work is displayed in our website as ‘SOLD’


Q: When and how do I get pay for sold art work?
We directly transfer money to your bank account. You will also be notified by a telephone call or sms after the payment is done, in order to get your payment make sure to provide your banking details in your profile page accurately.


Q: Do I receive the current value in rupees for the price placed in USD?
No, we deduct 5% from your payment as foreign currency conversion charges. The USD to Sri Lanka rupees conversion is done according official buying price of USD in the previous banking day


Q: What I should I do if my art works is sold outside your website?
You have to log into your profile page and delete the image of the sold art work.


Q: What should I do once my art work is sold?
You have to deliver us the sold art work personally or by courier when it is couriered, ensure that it is safely packaged.


Q: What happens if my sold art work is returned by customer?
You will be notified about the return and as soon as the original art work is received by us, original art work is delivered to you by courier.


Q: How will you market my art work?
We promote our artists work in a number of ways. We manage a large online advertising campaigns and we do a lot of search engine optimizations.

Q: What type of artworks do you sell?
Ceylon Artists sells original art works created by artists living in Sri Lanka.


Q: How are art works selected for Ceylon artists?
Artists in Sri Lanka can register and uploaded the quality images of their art works. After the approval from art panel consisting of professional artists, these art works are displayed in our website.


Q: How do I purchase art works?
To purchase art works you should register with Ceylon artists. You just have to fill a few personal questions for the registration and have to pay us via our secured payment processor (Alert Pay) using Credit/Master card or Alert pay


Q: Can I have other methods for payment?
Yes of course, you have to inform us at payment[at]ceylonartists.com for further information of other payments methods.


Q: Once purchase an art work how many days will it take to arrive?
Art work is delivered on the next marketing day of the sale via EMS (express postal service provide by the postal department of Sri Lanka). Normally you can expect the delivery begging five days of the purchase.


Q: Are the art works insured?
Yes, all art works are insured for the total value.


Q: May I return the art work if it does not meet my expectations?
Yes, Ceylon Artists offers seven day money back guarantee on all art works. If your art work/s purchased by you does not meet your expectations, you may return within seven days of the delivery. For further information, please see our Return policy


Q: What should I do if I receive a damaged art work?
If you receive a damaged art work, contact us within 24 hours at return[at]ceylonartists.com please save the box and all packaging material; we must have these items in order to process the claim.


Q: Do you deliver art works internationally?
Yes, we are happy to deliver art works to any destinations in the world


Q: Do I have to pay the shipping cost?
No shipping cost is free of charge.


Q: How can I speak with the artists?
You are provided a messaging system to communicate with artists.


Q: Does Ceylon Artists provide framing services?
Ceylon Artists does not offer framing. By selling unframed artwork, we are able to provide you with faster delivery of your purchases and keep shipping costs low.


Q: May I apply for discount if I purchase 5 or more art works?
Yes, you have to send an email at discount[at]ceylonartists.com for an arrangement of a discount.
